Beschreibung

This tube is a low power oscillating triode used for telephone transmitters and was made as a substitute for the Western Electric VT2. It was fitted with the Shaw Standard base and was also known as the type T Pliotron. The type no VT12 was designated by the US Signal Corps. It was only used briefly before being replaced with the VT14 which has a different filament design.
