Filament Vf 12.6 Volts / If 58 Ampere / Direct
Description

750W plate power dissipation. Intended for use as radar pulse modulator.

Used from 1938 in the 200 MHz transmitter of the CHL system and then in the MB2 ground radar and in the GL1 and GL2 gun laying sets.

  • 750 W anode dissipation, with forced-air cooling
  • 31 kV anode voltage
  • 100 MHz full ratings operating frequency, up to 250 MHz at reduced ratings

VT58A differs from the VT58 for the longer ageing process, which resulted in tubes capable of withstanding 31 kV
