Description |
The Weagant tube was designed by Roy A Weagant for the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company (USA) in late 1914 - early 1915 and several styles were made. An external control was applied to the tube in the form of a tightly wound coil of wire. The tubes were designed to circumvent the de Forest "Audion" patent Later tubes had caps at each end and there was an amplifier with 10 tubes also designed. None of the tubes were put into commercial production
