Description |
Va <500, Pa <3.5W; Flying lead, special quality version of the A2521
This was the last of the classic MOV designs. They were used as a cascode pair as the front end of the UK Clansman army radio which dates from the 1960s. Although transistors could have met the noise figures they were not robust enough to operate reliably in proximity to the transmitter. The YD1400 was developed for this equipment and proved a very reliable device being manufactured until 1986.
