Bauerlaubnis -Telefunken
Bauerlaubnis -Telefunken
Dear German Radiofriends
Do You know this crystal set?
It is a Telefunken - Bauerlaubnis - TF1
Long ago a Portuguese brought it from Germany to Portugal.
His grandson, 56 yers old, lives in Lisbon . He told me how this set was acquired in Germany by his grandfather and how his grand father was a privileged because at time in Lisbon he already could listen very clear some foreign radio stations.
I would like to upload this picture in Rmorg but I can't find Bauerlaubnis. What does it means? Is it a factory or a place?
Do you help me?
Thank You
PS: The labels on the upper cover are not original

Not a Telefunken
This is a very nice and probably rare set - but it is not a Telefunken. In Germany Telefunken had something like a monopoly during many years for different tube and radio patents. Therefore makers in Germany had to have a license (Bauerlaubnis) to build certain radios. In other countries it was often similar at the first time. In Switzerland you had to have a license by Marconi or later by Philips. In some other countries it was either one or several of the three - or RCA. This was the situation at least up to the 20ies. This was not the case for detectors.
Your particular set is probably German but I don't think it is a detector but an Audion. Unfortunately I can't read the front labels except Telefunken Bauerlaubnis. There were hundreds of very small manufacturers at that time in Germany. If you give further details I'm sure somebody here will be able to tell you the manufacturer and perhaps even the model. Perhaps you can present some photos of the inside?

A closer look to the escutcheon would help. How about a closeup photo of the front plate and the top (slant control panel) inscription.

Details
I didn't open this set. It is not mine as I said before. So I don't know much about its inside.
Here I send You another pictures. Is this the Reico's logotype?
If so I understand that this set is not a Telefunken though it is written so in its label.
Meanwhile, I'll try to persuade the owner to show me the inside of this set.
Best regards

Reico
I already uploaded these Photos.
The pity is I had not posted this article right at beginning in Reico TF1 tread, but I did not imagine at that time that it was a Reico. Perhaps one in Rmorg Admin can place it in its right tread for me.
Thank You for your help.
Cordially
