Sometime in late 1924 or early1925 the Harold M. Schwab company was sued in Federal court by the Brunswick Balke Collender Co. over the use of the Brunswick De Luxe trade name. The Schwab company had started using the Brunswick trade name to describe the parts and radios the company was manufacturing such as the Brunswick Jiffy Plug and the Brunswick Low Loss tuning coils.
Here is a December, 1924 Radio Age magazine advertisement showing the use of the Brunswick trade name for their parts. It is interesting to note in this advertisement that the company was also manufacturing the "De Luxe Ambassador and the De Luxe Neutrodyne" at this time.
Here is the March 7, 1925 Radio World magazine announcement that the court had found in favor of the Harold M. Schwab company because the court thought the radio and phonograph industries were separate.
