crosley: Playtime; 124
? crosley: Playtime; 124
I have two Crosley 124 Grandfather Clock radios. Both cabinets labels state:
THE PLAY-TIME (all caps)
MODEL I-M (or possibly 1-M) don't know which.
I was just curious if there are other variations. Mine looks identical to the one in the Museum photos. A 124-M variation is mentioned there.
Thanks!

Different models with the same chassis
Dear Dave
Thank you for telling.
I really don't know if the Grandfather Clock Radio 124 and the 124-M or 1-M (I-M) are totally the same and only mentioned differently or if we find differences. I'm trying to get more ads, folders, fliers or catalogs for early Crosleys for finding better data.
Would you have anything of that for me (for instance just a scan)?
I worked a bit on Crosley and wrote an article (January) - just for my own sake, but I think I can put it now into a public board - but it is not finished ... Hopefully I will later be able to link it to models concerned and vice versa. This is another source I'm dealing with. Here is also the list for 1932 for "Radio Retailing".
What I can tell for the model I have now written to the notes, giving links to all other Crosley Grandfather Clock Radios plus on the models we show for your chassis 124. Can you please check my English and if other errors occur? After that I would like to copy parts to the other models with chassis 124.
Can you please measure the sizes of your set(s) and enter it on both models?
Would be good if you could take photos with 1400 pixels hight of the full set frontal and one from a bit a side - and the back, then the escutcheon with the knobs in 933 pixels width and also separate the loudspeaker, the chassis and the clock - also from behind.
If you have to do a repair, please take photos of the original wiring BEFORE repair. Thank you.
