panasonic: disassembly of Panasonic RC-6900

The dial lamp (and mainboard) is buried inside of this radio and it looks impossible to get to.  It's not that bad.  After taking the top off and removing the chassis from the cabinet, you can remove the disc & clock section by taking out 4 screws.  The bulb socket can now be popped off and new bulb installed.  There was a 6.3v .25a bulb marked XAM35K inside.  The socket (to this radio anyway) is getting 8.8vac.
