May I point out that the model illustrated is not the Autobat, but the Packagram. I no longer have my EAR Autobat, which, along with it's add-on stereo amplifier, was disposed of may years ago, but the Autobat, as it's name implies, was a Battery operated Autochange Record Player, using a BSR UA(12 or 14?) 10-disc Autochanger, fitted with a 9v DC Mechanically governed motor. A 6" Round Speaker was fitted, driven by a 4 or 5 transistor amplifier. A TC8S Stereo Crystal Cartridge was fitted, together with a Phono socket to allow connection of the optionally available Second Channel amplifier, which used an identical circuit & Speaker to those built in to the Autbat Player. Both the Record Player and amplifier were powered by 6 x 'U2' 1.5v Cells ('D' cells in modern terminology). No provision was made for mains operation. The output power was given as 1000mW (1 Watt). Cabinets were wood, covered in grey 'Rexine' Un fortunately I do not have any photographs of these items, but perhaps other members may be able to locate pictures from my descriptions
