May I respectfully point out that the pictures shown are not of the Autobat, but are of a totally different model. The Autobat, as it's name implies was a battery operated record player fitted with a BSR UA14 Autochanger powered by a 9v DC Motor. It incorporated a Transistor amplifier and a 6" (152mm)diameter round full range speaker, and was powered by 6 x 'U2' ('D') Cells. A seperate amplifier and speaker, also powered by 6 'D' Cells, and connecting cable using Phono (RCA)Connectors allowed for the reproduction of Stereo Records. A BSR TC8S Stereo Crystal cartridge was fitted. Tow versions of the 'Autobat' were made, one also incorporating an AM (MW/LW) Manually tuned radio.
