? emerson: Ch= CL; CL256 (CL-256)
Hello There,
I have in my collection this radio as pictured in Steins number 1. My set has a 25Z6, 25L6, 12A8, 12K7, & a 12Q7 tube. The radio had an original resistance AC line cord but I converted it so it now works well with a standard line cord......
My question is both the units you have on this general model have different tube line ups. Is mine unique ?
Please advise

I WANT TO KNOW IF I SHOULD MODIFY THE TUBE LINE UP ON THE 2 EXISTING THAT YOU HAVE ON RMORG OR JUST WAIT TILLYOU DECIDE WHAT TO DO.

Tubes
Hi Marv,
if you are sure that those tubes are indeed 25L6 and 25Z6 (not G or GT) and it's for model CL-256 please change the tube line-up as follows:
12A8 or 12A8GT 12K7 or 12K7GT 12Q7 or 12Q7GT 25L6 or 35L6GT 25Z6 or 35Z4GT

CL256
Hello to you Goetz.
Yes, each of the tubes in my set are "GT" (small glass octals)....Should I suggest a change too in the actual model or should I just insert 3 additional pictures. I can weigh my set too.

? tube lineup
Hi Marv,
Are the tubes noted some where in Your set? or could they just have been replaced in the past? a resistance line cord added?
really a 25Z6 ? It has a different base. The 25Z4 is compatible, save the filament voltage.
plese mail photo of label (or whereever the tubes are noted).
regards,
KoBi

Strad CH, not CL
Hi Marv,
Stein, Machine Age, depicts the CH256 which looks all the same as the CL256.
I guess that Your tube lineup points to the CH model, where pics are still missing.
Dont modify the wrong model page, please!
Good luck!

My Deco Emerson CH256 from 1939
The problem is now solved. Based on the tubes in my set & the "CH" on the serial number label on the chassis back, I now know I have the " CH" model & I will be posting pictures later today/
