Hi everybody,

I wondered if anyone could tell me what voltage and amp dial lamp bulbs the Etronic RA640 uses?

They are not shown on the sevice sheet.

Many thanks.

Nominally 6.3V, BUT if it's not a long life pilot bulb type it will burn out fast. 6.5V or 7V are usually a better choice for power from nominal 6.3V heater circuit.

If a small scale or lamps are close, 100mA to 150mA, if a large scale and bulbs are not close, then 300mA. Proper scale lamps should not be blinding white but a slight orange tint compare to ordinary incandesent bulbs. Many  6.3V bulbs sold are for 6V lantern batteries and (a) are too short life and (b) designed to be useful at 5V so are somewhat over run on a Radio and may only last a week or so!
