The Skyrider SX-32 has been introduced in RMorg with the tubes 6AB7, 6SK7, 6BA7, 6SA7 etc. and this model has been dated 1941 - 1943 for production years.

In our tube sheet we list the tube 6BA7 as from first production year 1948.

I would like to clear this because one of the data is wrong. I checked Rider's but found only nearly unreadable plans and no solution yet.

Who can help with solid information please?

see the tube layout from the original manual, seems, the 6BA7 has been misspelled, should be a 6SA7

If there is anyone interestend in the schematic, please contact me or consult BAMA
kind regards Martin

Yes,  Agreed!

I also note that Stokes (p92) gives 1950 as the "appeared" date for the 6BA7 - but that may not be in conflict with 1948 - probably the "announced" date.

Kind regards,

Roy

With our list of models per year on the tube pages we have a unique system to counter prove things. Martin Bösch has corrected the model SX-32, thank you. But it would still be nice if a member would load up the schematic to the model ...

It can well be that Stokes is wrong for the 6BA7 tube:
If you click the models for 1948 on that tube page you get an Airline 84WG-2714F made by Montgomery Ward and there is a second one with a "certain" date 1948. Or a Gamble 94RA1-43-7751A for 1949 etc.

I would like to ask the readers if for that time 84 was a year code - just the two figures in reverse. I believe that for instance Gamble-Skogmo used the same method for their Coronados with ??RA... models in the years 1948 to 1953 or 1954.

Does somebody know more about naming systems in the USA which include the first year of production? We have too many models with either date ? (1 year uncertainity or even ?? (several years difference possible).
