Loop antenna
Paul, thanks for the tip.
It appears that the extra knob toward the back should control the loop antenna orientation. The photos on the model page also suggest the existence of an E-field shield box. Some photos also seem to indicate what appears to be a coin slot.
The seemingly shielded loop with orientation control would be a handy feature in a crowded hotel setting to help reduce interference.
If you have one of these radios, It would be great to see a direct photo of the top, coin mechanism and loop antenna, along with a clarication on my suppositions.
Best regards,
-Joe

pictures of coin mechinism.

Joe,
I will get some pictures for you. This radio belongs to a "student" that I am teaching. I am holding an "Elmer" project of a local Ham radio club on radio restoration. See this link for presentation. Some of these students could be my dad and some could be my son.
Thanks for the explanation. I will direct the student to this conversation.
Paul.
Joe, I have not forgotten. Paul.
