hammarl-mf: hq129 too much B+

my 129  is running too much b+ ....340 at pin 8 5u4 versus 300 ....this causes vr tube to overwork by 50%....60 ma vs 40max

....the radio is freshly recapped and appears to be working well... i am thinking of placing a suitable resistor between 5u4 pin 8 and the choke....any ideas???...john

nevermind...it wasa line voltage thing....123 line volts caused problem...radio now running on 114 from variac...302 volts at pin 8
