Hello All:

I recently acquired a Korting 1045 (Delmonico International) in need of repair. It is in fairly decent shape however the volume control had been destroyed (shaft free and internal wiper broken) and needs to be replaced. I can probably come up with an adequate replacement if I can determine the required resistance value. The potentiometer also appears to have a resistance tap.  I cannot find any data for this model in the RMorg database, yet alone a schematic. The radio is almost identical with the Korting Novum 3930, which is in the database, however there is no schematic available for that model.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Milt Margolis

Hi, Milt,

please search for Model "Brillant 821/20" and "Brillant 101/30" . They are under "Neckermann". Neckermann is a Mailorder Distributor, and Körting exclusively sold their Radios as "Neckermann" in Germany.

Hope that helps,

Best Regards,

Henning

Dear Milt

Please go to "Create new entries" on the HP (search page) and click the blue info buttons.

Then it will be an easy job to introduce the model, since you have the set and can bring in quite some details. I will then move your request to the model and hopefully somebody has the schematic. Now he/she would not care perhaps because there is no place for the load-up.

Please help us to keep the spirit of building up this big "Radio-City" by contributing data.
Thank you.

Korting 1045 Info

Hello Henning & Ernst:

Thank you for your assistance. I located the information for the Neckermann 821/20 but unfortunately the schematic provided is for the Model 821/12. The 821/12 differs from the 821/20 in that it does not have the klangregister feature and its volume control uses an non-tapped potentiometer. I was able to obtain some resistance measurements from my defective Korting 1045 potentiometer and it appears to be a 2 megohm log pot, tapped at about 1.3 meg.

The Korting 1045 apparently was intended for US export. The input power is limited to 110 VAC and the dial scale markings are in English. It has four bands: LW, BC, SW, FM. The tube complement consists of an ECC 85, ECH 81, EF 89, EABC 80, EZ 80 and an EM 84.

I shall attempt to upload whatever information I have on the Korting 1045 as a "new model".

Regards

Milt

Hugo Sneyers has kindly uploaded a schematic for the Korting Novum 3930, which appears to be  identical to the Korting 1045 except for its 110-240V input power capability. Its shows the volume control to be a 1.3 megohm tapped potentiometer. I will attempt to update the Korting 1045 Model Page to indicate that it is a variant of the Novum 3930.

Thanks to all for your assistance.

Dear Milt
We are very happy to see that you followed the spirit of RMorg and did load up the new model.
I now moved the thread to the model. By this other owners of the model are informed  about what we discussed.

Unfortunately we have only a few Americans who really help to build up the big "Radio-City" and we remain with many US models  standing there as merely "bones without flesh". Maybe you have also US models and can help putting up pictures - wenn, first for this model - or even bringing in data to models.

I hope you can enjoy RMorg.
Cordially,

Ernest
