I understand the Leak TL/12+ but in this model, Leak TL/12 Point One:

1. I see 2 transformers (T2 and T3) and 1 choke (L1), all black but what is the other unlabelled black cubic object next to them on the rear at the back? Potted capacitors?

2. Where is T1? Not on schematic!

3. What is the curious stove pipe object in the valve line up and'or what is the empty valve socket for?

Best wishes

Josie

The input in and supply out voltages are on an Octal socket, no doubt to power a pre-amp or a tuner.

The "stove pipe" beside it is the EF36 screening can. Quite common on 1940s Military radio.

I suspect the 4uF and 8uF caps are in the black box.  Though it has 5 terminals underneath, 3 on one edge and 2 on the other.

I don't know why people pay big money for these though.

Thank you. I can't see why 5 terminals although 2 are connected together? I looked on eBay and was shocked by price!!!! TL/12 Point One pair at £6000 or something Never Somebody has got a TL/12 to give. I hope it is the Plus with EL84s and not the Point One!!!!!

I searched and one "restored" has a RCA phono socket mounted where the octal is and two large capacitors where the black box with 4 connections  / 5 terminals.  :-(
