LE TEVOX 751 from Radio-Papyrus, Paris
a successor of the
Transivox,
the first full transistorised portable radio in France.
As Mark Burgess describes on his Transistor-History website:
"Fanfare Transivox
The Transivox was described by Haut Parleur as "the first French receiver equipped entirely with transistors." In its special edition of October 1956 more details were given: It was an 8 transistor set with four RF “special” transistors and an audio amplifier line up of two OC71 and two class B OC72. [Le Haut Parleur 1956 Numéro Spécial] It featured long and medium wave bands and was powered by four torch batteries.
No details were given as the identity of the RF transistors. The inference in the term “special” is that they were handpicked from production but there are no hints as to the manufacturer. [Picture Le Haut Parleur 1956 980]"
Later, the factory name changed from "Fanfare" to "Transivox"
You can find a similar Radio in the world wide web branded "Ariane"
And if you look closely at the TEVOX 751 data sheet, there are 2 minor
inconsistencies:
"CARACTÉRISTIQUES:
Superheterodyne équipée de 7 transistors + 3 germaniums ...
1 étage H.F. - 1 étage oscillateur - 2 étages M.F. - 1 preampli B.F. - 1 etage DRIVER - 2 transistors Push-pull"
The latter fits to an 8 transistor radio
If you are describing the 7 transistors TEVOX 751, it should read:
1 étage oscillateur/mélangeur - 2 étages M.F. - 1 preampli B.F. - 1 etage DRIVER - 2 transistors Push-pull"
Furthermore, the offered picture of the TEVOX looks like a Transivox-like 8 transistors radio named TEVOX.
So there was probably a Radio-Papyros TEVOX 8 transistors set, too, similar to the
Fanfare Transivox.
1) If this is true, there were at least 3 Transivox 8 transistor models:
Fanfare Transivox
Ariane 8 transistors
Tevox 8 transistors
2) a successor model LE TEVOX 751 (manufacturer Radio-Papyrus) 7 transistors
(the model described here)
3) and a further successor Ariane 6 transistors
To me, it seems, all these radios were produced at the same factory, renewing old French brand names
I suspect Papyros-Radio-Television, Paris was a specialized merchant, not a producer.

Pour moi, il semble que toutes ces radios ont été produites dans la même usine, le renouvellement de vieilles marques françaises
Je soupçonne Papyros-Radio-Télévision, Paris était un revendeur spécialisé, pas un producteur.
