Hello

E-Bay Item number 200932900650

I just purchased this Model Radio from E-bay Pilot Mariner. I see a difference in that mine has a Factory installed Eye Tube, which is not shown on the schematic for the AC Version shown here on the Radiomuseum.

My Question , Has anyone seen this with Eye Tube , Does any information exist that mentions this difference in a later produtcion run?

Thank You

Hello Bob,

beside the additional magic eye, your radio has different wave bands: SW 1, SW 2 and BC  instead of LW, MW(BC) and SW for the already listed (domestic) model Mariner AC in RMorg.

This particular radio is obviously an export model. The magic eye (most probably a 6E5) is not mentioned at the tube location label, but it's original built-in in every aspect according to the inside view.

Please make a new model suggestion for your radio with the variant export.

Thanks,
Bernhard

Thank you Bernhard

That makes sense an export Vesrsion. I have never seen another.

The Radio is original except for one 8MFD electrolytic replaced and a .0.003 Capacitor added to improve Tone Control. The Eye tube is a 6E5.

Full restoration started.
