The device has a power connector in the battery holder box, through which the 6 V Dryfit accumulator can be charged at the same time.
The three connectors are the legs: "+" "-" and grounding.

For clarification: the 6 V Dryfit lead acid battery "AKKU", which can be used as an alternative to the "C" dry batteries, is charged from the unit's built-in power supply unit. For this purpose, however, an additional module called LAD1 with the necessary charging electronics is required, which is plugged into the free 3 contacts Bu2. Charging is not possible without this module. See also the circuit detail of the power supply unit.

Charging does not work without the LAD1 module, this is a fact. However, we did not mention charging, but the use of an external power supply! However, if a power supply is connected to the radio at that point (since it is connected to the positive and negative corners), the radio will operate from an external power source.

So it's a double use connector!

The question here is not whether a portable radio can be operated with an external DC power supply, which the manufacturer has not described. A resourceful hobbyist will find a solution for every model, even if he soldered connections to the battery contacts ...

Here it is clear that for the "normal user", the technical layman, there is no possibility of connecting an external DC power supply to this unit. The 3 sockets inside of the battery compartment also have no labelling for polarity etc.

For the technically identical model ITT RC1000, reference is made to the special accessories in the data specifications: Dryfit set DS1, order no. 5885 0575, consisting of battery and charging adapter.

In summary: The manufacturer has not intended this model Ingelen Euro-Corder 605 for use with an external DC power supply.
