siemens: Question about the tuning dial
? siemens: Question about the tuning dial
Dear forum members,
the tunig dial of this radio shows 4 (blanc) horizontal lines.
The top line has at the left Bayer(ische) R(undfunk) and Saar, at the right Westd(eutsche) Rundf(unk).
Next line left Nordd(eutsche) Rundf(unk), right Berlin Ostd(eutschland)
The third line left Südwestfunk and right Hess(ischer) R(undfunk) and AFN (American Forces Network) and BFN (British Forces Network?).
Finally the fourth line has left a blanc space and right Südd(eutsche) R(undfunk) and Bremen.
But the space between those transmitter names is left blanc. Only the top line has two little markings. What is the purpose of this?
Please refer to the picture enclosed.
Best regards

siemens: Question about the tuning dial
Hello Georges,
the two markings are probably alignment points for the VHF tuner. There are no transmitter markings. The user had to attach his own markings for his receivable FM transmitters.
