The first radio pictured for RCA 46X11 appears to be a 46X21. Compare the dials. The other radios pictured under 46X11 are correct.

Hi Jeff,

Well seen! The corresponding pictures have now been moved to model 46X21. But: 1 picture remains which is completely different, it is the last one. Which model could that be?

Regards
Bernhard

I didn't notice that one! It is either a 45X11 (1939) or a 1AX (1940), both RCA. The cases are identical.

Hello Jeff,

I think the wrong picture shows the model RCA 46X-1 Mahogany.
The model is incorrectly labeled "2nd generation".

46X-1 Ch= RC-459F [2nd Production] - RCA should mean  46X-1 Ch= RC-459F Mahagony
46X-2 Ch= RC-459F [2nd Production] - RCA should mean  46X-2 Ch= RC-459F Ivory

Dear all,

Thank you for these hints. Wolfgang Bauer is right here, RCA 46X-1 is the correct model for the last picture. It has been moved accordingly. Furthermore, some new pictures have been added to the model page.

Regarding 2nd production: It makes sense to keep this addition as a variant. We also have RCA 46X1 and 46X2 models listed in RMorg, having a different chassis 459B designation. John Kusching created these 2nd production models that way for a good reason.

Best regards
Bernhard

Hello Jeff,

It should also be mentioned that the model is available in two versions, which are difficult to find in RMorg due to the different spelling.
Once with a hyphen and once without a hyphen. In addition, the models should be linked to the other model.
The versions differ in the changed circuits.
The spelling of the other models in the image below should also be changed and the models linked to the other model.
Unfortunately I have to delegate this as I am not allowed to do it myself.

46X1 Ch= RC-459-B
46X-1 Ch= RC-459F [2nd Production]

Best regards WB.

Thanks! For my second note, I neglected the dial. There sure were a lot of variations on the same basic design. ---Jeff
