I found a Regentone Radiogram in Bletchley Park. There was no type label to find.
By the tube list it can only be the ARG349 or ARG57.  (see pictures at ARG349)
Who knows the different? Are the pictures here at the correct model?

Thanks, Heribert

Dear Heribert,

From the R&T sheets, there is little difference electrically.   I have no information on cabinets.

The ARG57 was released October 1950 some 16 months after the ARG349.

The ARG57 had the possibility of a 7B6 fitted at V3 - a 7C6 in the ARG349.

The ARG57 also had the option of a Collaro RC500 deck fitted.

The only other electrical specification difference is that the ARG57 is specified for 110-120 as against 110-130 for the ARG349 (in addition to both having a specified 200-250 capability).

Early models of the ARG349 the rectifier heater was fed from the same supply as the other tubes - later a sparate winding was added.

Regards,

Roy
