First create model !

Hallo Alfred,
Please always first create the model in the museum and then ask the questions.
So we always have all the information on this model
I think, the string for dial will work just as I drew it.

? Almost
Thanks Wolfgang.....I will add this model when completed repair. I have enclosed picture of how I have it now. The tuner moves fine to one side, but does not move fully to the other. Where should the spring be? It hits the large pully at one point.....thanks AL

? Station problem
Hello....I did it as you first suggested, and it is working..BUT....When the dial is turned to the right, the pointer goes to right...but the stations go down ( lower #s) etc. 66 am is played on 1400 on dial. Any ideas on what connection is wrong? Thanks AL

changing direction

Hi Al,
Wrap the string around the large pulley in the other direction, and everything should be fixed. The pulley I am refering to is the one which appears as a yellow circle on the stringing diagram Wolfgang made for you above.
Put the spring either right next to the pointer (if there is enough room on one side of it or the other to avoid hitting something at the ends of the dial, or on the long straight leg on the lower left side of Wolfgang's diagram.
Just out of curiosity: I see you have pictures of the box, and a picture of a tag, but no picture of the radio itself. Perhaps because it is apart on your bench at the moment? Once you have it back together, take a moment to take a picture of the radio itself from a few angles, and try uploading to the model page. It's not too difficult, and once you've done it, you're ready to do so again in the future. Always takes a little extra motivation to try it the first time. If you're not sure how, just ask.
Best regards,
Tom
