Don't waste your money...
By the way, they are shock resistant !
If really someone should install these 12V / 50mA sold on eBay, he'll see.... nothing !
Maybe, a weak red glow under the respective button.
No, that makes no sense at all.
There's a 'Saba- Maniac' in Hamburg (he didn't sign up with rm.org) who - after trying this and that and virtually anything- found a company where he simply ordered new ones - they made these, especially for him. It wasn't that cheap like those on eBay; but the price remained reasonable. Don't ask for details right now; but if you wish more on that, let me know. I'm gonna call him, if necessary.
By the way, I solved that problem by scrapping Sabas. There are a lot in poor condition which can be considered subject to become parted out. Even if these radios were placed in the rain for months, the bulbs remain good. The lamps below the Long wave, short wave or phono buttons usually are like new.

An almost perfect replacement...
Search that site for L1061 and you'll find a bulb rated 6V ; 0.1A ; based E5.5 The price may be considered almost inafforadable : 64 Cents each.....
I'd recommend to add a series resistor to get the bulb finally glowing at the same color temperature like the original ones do. Probably something around 10Ohms. That way, the replacements should last - but they'll glow a bit less bright than the original ones. Does anyone know about another (better) replacement ?

Thank you very much for that link to resource.
Only two spare lamps remaining here!

Since you're residing in the U.S., in your place, I'd prefer to search for similar bulbs at www.mouser.com or www.bulbs.com or www.1000bulbs.com, etc.
Sure, Reichelt will also deliver those bulbs right to your home's doorstep - but there's a minimum order volume for oversees shipments - EUR 150, as far as I remember...
If you want some of these bulbs, let me know.
I could order some and forward these to your address.
(By the way, I'd have to pay sth around 35cents each... the more you purchase at Reichelt, the lower the prices)

I just experianced this myself, when I attempted to place an order.
I was about to order 20 Osram 2306's (Lämpchen T5 (T1-1/2) Glassockel 6-7V / 30mA
Verpackungsgewicht: 0.0004kg), and the equivalent bulb rated at 0,080A, for my Grundig RTV 650.
If you you can help me with this, I would be glad to Pay Pal you in advance.

I now, as of today, have only one used original lamp from Saba remaining here for spares.
I will e-mail you, about address, payment, etc., if you will be so kind to make a small packet for me. Also, to extend my offer to send you some early U.S. radio parts I might have for spares- if you wish.
I have attempted to find something close to the Saba original E 5.5 mm screw base "lampchen" in the U.S. bulb specialty stores.
So far, my search in the USA has found only the type nr. #342.
This type with E5.5 "Edison" screw base, 6V, but with only .04a filament current, which means it is not necessary for any undesirable modification of the Saba fassung (socket) to use this as ersatz (replacement.)
The one possible problem is that the luminance (light output) is less than the original type with .15 amp filament.
One nice fact...The type 342 has rating for 10K stunden leben (service life.)
Shown below is the light output difference from original Saba tastenlamp teil nr. 3501-308-000 and the available-to-U.S.A. type nr. 342 replacement (ersatz) type.
I attempt here a shortened link to see for yourself.
Lampchen
Not so perfect, to be sure, and only a second choice for my preference, but it was better than nothing for the time before knowing of your nice lamp source!

please send me an email !
You'll become a note in my respective file ;-)
This is what I already wrote for s.o. else :
'' ...let me first order those bulbs - that'll take some time since I'll combine it with other orders to save on shipping and will reduce several other costs.
You're not in a hurry, am I right ?
(If you'd need these 'tomorrow', I'd order right now...)
Using PayPal globally results in enormous losses, especially when converting US currency to EUR... not a good idea. Especially when transferring small amounts.
I'll let you know when I have those bulbs. Well hidden cash in a letter is always fine..... ''
Kind regards,
Burkhard
