I was wondering if anyone would be so kind to translate the alignment instructions to English. I had to do a bit of work on this model and would like to align the fm.
thanks

Translation offer
Hello Jason,
if you are not in too much of a rush, I might be able to help you. Deal: Once you have the translation, you will upload it to the pertaining model.
I would need, of course, the exact model designation. I have here on file the original alignment instructions for the "Bodensee W3" (Kundendienstschrift 1953/54). Though I don't believe that there are significant differences, it would be advisable to work from the appropriate documentation if your set is one of the earlier "Ws". Let me know.
Regards, Alfred
P.S.: How about amending your profile with a picture?

Yes, i will get the model to you.
Thanks for the help. I will up load the instructons if i can. I found it very complicated to upload schematic to this site due to compression and special software. I will let you know how it goes.
On this radio i had to make the fm ferrite slugs that zipline through the coils. I was able to find , on the web, of someone that had to do the exact same thing . Now i hope that this is the last step to restoration.
Konstanz W ab. This is the schematic that i followed. 308 446.

Bodensee W or Konstanz W?
Now you got me confused. Please determine the exact model designation of your SABA. (Rear panel and/or dial glass. You may also want to compare that to the models listed under that name at RMorg).
I am not qualified to judge if any technical information pertaining to the "Konstanz W" can be applied to your set - presuming it is a "Bodensee W". Even if I could, I would be rather reluctant to pursue that course of action.
You see, when you decided to join RMorg, you surely realized that RMorg's forum is not your usual soapbox affair. Instead, it should be seen as a service for RMorg members with the added - if not pre-eminent - function to contribute in building up a veritable encyclopedia. That explains the insistence on accurate and precise information.
Guidelines for uploading can be found at the respective model pages.
Great Picture!

What plan?
Hallo Alfred.

Sorry for any confusion. The back of the radio says:
Type SABA- Konstanz W
No info on the front.
What is a "soap box"?

Alignment Konstanz W
So, now we know it is a "Konstanz W" and thanks to the prompt action by Hans W. Knoll we also have the alignment instructions explicitly published for this particular model.
Jason, if you don't follow the RMorg forum discussions on a regular basis, you may not be aware that Hans is the absolute authority on matters like the one at hand. As you may have gathered from his reply, he does point out the difficulties that will be encountered trying to do the alignment in this case. You will have to decide if you wish to proceed. Notwithstandig the above, I will take a run at the translation. Considering the somewhat complicated text, it might take a while to complete it.
You will find an explanation for soapbox/soapboxing at Wikipedia. In our context it means freely voicing opinions not necessarily founded in fact.
Hans, vielen Dank fuer Dein Eingreifen und den Abgleichplan. Auf den ersten Blick scheint mir, dass man sich nicht nur am Abgleich sondern auch am Uebersetzen die Zaehne ausbeissen kann.
Gruss vom Ontariosee,
Alfred
