SABA Freiburg 7 motor problem

Dear Members,
After a SABA Meersburg 7 in perfect working condition, I just bought a Freiburg 7 from the same seller. Before shipping, the radio was checked and everything was working nice.
Unfortunately, when I received and pluged the Radio, I noticed that the automatic search was not working.
To be more precised :
The motor vibrates as usual in automatic position.
When I move manually the tuning knob, it remains in the choosen poisition, on or between stations.
When I push right or left the search button, the squelch is activated, but the motor refuses to move.
The magnetic coil of the searching command does not work, when I push the search button.
All the capacitors and tubes have been repalced, and I have controlled a lot of contacts which seem good.
I have the feeling that it's a really stupid thing to be checked or repaired, but I still did not find it...
Has somebody an idea regarding my problem ?
Thank you in advance for help.
Serge Roch

Motor problems

Dear Serge
There have been some articles about SABA automatic motor problems, but maybe they are in German or they don't help you. Anyway: If you select SABA and put the start year to say 1953 you see the hitlist with many SABA automatics. If you find an "F" on a line you click the model and on the model page below you then can see the one or different forum texts to the model.
Example in English is on this SABA Bodensee-Automatic 3DS model. It is therefore adviseable to post from the model and not from the board Tipps and Tricks. Then one can find such articles later. But nevermind, the moderator will change if it proceeds positively.
Can you look up also your model and perhaps - Google-translate some of the articles there regarding your problem (e.g. motor capacitors)? You find also repair tips on Freiburg Automatic 7 in the "technical documents" (sch4) - but it is in German.
Good luck!
In case you don't get good technical answers here please tell me later and I will translate your post for you to be seen by more members.

Dear Ernst,
Thank you so much for your message, and your help.
I will do so and keep you informed.
In the meantime, if a SABA specialist located in Switzerland comes at your ears, do not hesitate !
Kindest regards,
Serge

Dear Ernst,
The miracle has happened.
After hours of searches, a technician not involved in SABA but very clever has found the solution to my motor problem.
Two resistors in relation with the EABC80 tube were in body contact, which caused a short cut.
As usual in such a situation, only an empirical and lucky investigation (touching and shaking a lot of components) permitted to find the origin of this short cut.
No need to say that I'm more than happy. It confirms what I already wrote : this was a real stupid thing.
Thank you again for your help.
Serge

A case which often happens

Dear Serge
Yes, this is a typical error after a set having been shaken by a transport.
In this case it seems that you did not do some voltage checking or resistor checking "around" the motor schematic. This is always necessary to asset a problem correctly and in a way that others can help. Well, in this case you were lucky and I'm glad you managed it.
I just looked up your collection but found only one set. Hopefully you will be able to bring in some models which are in your posession but which are not yet in the database. It is simple after clicking "Create new entries" on the Search Page. We try to get more american models and to complete the ones we list which often have very little data :-(
The way is to go to the model and then to click "Add information to model". The blue info buttons also tell you how to proceed in case of uncertainy.
Have a good time.
