I have written a small incomplete history for E.M. Sargent Co. and added the model 11-MA plus WAC-44. Unfortunately we have little information for this small maker of radios and later mainly boatanchors - communication receivers which also have been used by short wave radio amateurs.

Can you tell us anything about the company, this model or other models of E.M. Sargent Co.?
Guests would kindly be requested to please use our contact form. Your help is welcome very much.

We try to create a real and most complete radio catalogue with data, pictures and schematics. Up to now we show about 51 000 radio models for the USA and 73 000 for other countries.

Dear Ernst,

some additional notes about Sargent are available in 'Communications receiver' by Raymond S. Moore, where are also listed several models, from 1930 to 1938-40.

Dear Emilio,

Perhaps you could suggest any additions that you can find by using the Manufacturer's page and adding history.  Also please add any models and appropriate details to existing models that are in the book.

Many thanks and regards,

Roy

I added all what I found on E.M. Sargent in Communications Receivers, including a survey of their production from the early 1930s to 1940. Unfortunately there are only partial information on some models. From the few notes available they made very fine receivers, with a lot of interesting solutions, such as double conversion and some RF Q-multiplier equivalent. Moore believes thet their 9-33, appeared in 1933, could be the first double conversion receiver. Even other details are remarkable, talking of a continuous search for the ultimate performance in each model: three wire antenna input, antenna trimmer, crystal filter, band-spread.

It could be very interesting to have more details, pictures, diagrams about their production. Does any of the US members have more about?

Thanks to all and best regards,

Emilio

Who knows more about the Sargent Radio 11-MA? Or about other models in the Series 11?
