Dear Radio lovers,

When repairing my set, I found a little brownish paper bag inside, which contained two 60mm long transparent plastic tubes, diam 4 mm, with inside a black 15 mm long part (ferroxdure?), as well as a spare glass fuse.

What are these for?

Hello Mr. Campenhout,

these two pieces are Coil -cores for the AM IF (460 Hkz).

In this years Siemens use a splendid or grazy form of Coil Cores.
They have not a thread, only two cylinders coaxial.
The Cores are moved, to alignment the IF Filters,  by shifting one in other.
When finish, those two coaxial Cylinders was fixed with a fusion by heat.
(soldering iron)

If you need or use later on of those Cores, you can find it in that Paper inside of the set.

I think thats clear.

Regards Hans M. Knoll
