Hi
I bought this divice in a fair of antiques.
Is complete and works, but what will be its use? apparently it will be a test harness to electric motors or transformers. There is a schema embedded in the box.
Someone can give more info on this equipment?.
General photo attachment.

Measurements for telephone systems
Dear Hernani
Since this is a model made in Germany, I thought I will bring in your question in German - and indeed, I received an answer from Reiner Scholz:
"We need a good picture (frontal without flash) of the entire plate. There is some more details which could tell what it is. I believe it has something to do with telephone manufacturing or controlling."
My suggestion is that you create a new model page for AEG A4 2F (A42F)
as a measuring equipment (type). Then you load up some photos - also one frontal so that one can see all figures - besides the separate plate - all 933 pixels width.
We then might find out much more.

Thank you.

Dear Hernani,
as I have already posted on the German thread on this model:
My assumption is that we are dealing with a relay tester (Relaisprüfeinrichtung). Multiple sources that I found while searching the web point toward this being the meaning of the acronym SRP - though I am not sure, hence my pointing out that it is an assumption.
You can find the soures I found in the German post for this model.
Regarding the AEG label on the device, this is an inventory label and probably specifies the division (the printed part of the label, A4 2-F Zentralmontage - meaning central assembly) and the inventory number (Inv. Nr.). The whole of that information is not of any importance to the device itself other than in 'historic' respect. They form no part of the type designation, however "7F-4" does. We updated the model page accordingly.
Regards
Mark

Dear Mark,
Yes, I believe the equipment is building in order testing relays , with some power (500VA). Industrial use .
I read with more attention the inside drawing and have always an solenoid connect to the equipment, output C.
Yes, I believe the equipment is made by Siemens Model SRP4 – 7F-4 , and use by AEG in the field .
I had power ON the equipment and confirm the good working condition, the output (C) supply up to 25A AC with good control from Rheostat (R)
Best Regards
