Dear Radiofriends,

On 1st of Feb 2005 I have written that I would rebuild this radio. I just began to do it.

I'm working on a new cabinet. That’s how it looks by now.

I’m also working at same time on the chassis circuit. Then I’ve notice that a push-pull transformer is missing.

I can't get know its characteristics.

I believe that someone knowledgable in Rmorg, reading data from this schematic, can help me with some hint. Do you ?

Thank you in advance.

Mario Coelho

The complete schematic is in Nostalgia Air.

Audio Interstage Transformers are sold by Antique Electronic Supply (tubesandmore.com).
The 85 triode is specified with an impedance of 20 kOhm. The Xformer P-T124E would come closest, having 15 kOhms. Furthermore this type gives the choice of different step up ratios: 1:1.5 / 1:3 / 1:6 .

Good luck,
KoBi

Dear Konrad

I apologise for having replied you so late but I was absent in recent days.
Thank you for your prompt response and for the indication of the Transf. data.
A friend, here in Portugal, has offered to make a new  transformer, according to the values that you have indicated. Lucky me . :-)

Meanwhile the cabinet is improving slowly.

Dear Friends,

The driver transfo is already repaired. It has now 15000ohms and 1:5 ratio.

Also the out-put Push-pull transfo had also to be repaired. The intermediate terminal of the primary coil was interrupted. It has also a general winding insulation failure.

Meanwhile I have made the moulds to replicate  4 new knobs from an original one.

Best Regards

Mário Coelho

Dear Maitiu

Thank you for your kind words.

I've sent already some pictures to the model's page. Meanwhile I'll send these two now. The chassis was not restored brand new as the cabinet.  I'll do it later.
