I have to replace the power switch on my Revox A78 amplifier (007755). I bought everything in about 1971 or 1972. I am using my Revox amplifier-tuner-taperecorder combination without any wooden covers. I started trying to remove the buttons and dials from the front panel. I only managed to pull one button two clicks off and didn't dare to continue. So I should immediately admit not to be an electronic technician! The problem should off course be solvable: I might be able to replace this power switch and otherwise I could shortcut the switch and attach a new power switch in the power cable. The first option has so far my my preference! I do have the normal documentation with my Revox A76-A77-A78 combination but I only have a complete service manual for the A77 and not for my A78 or A76. Could somebody help me to solve this demounting problem? I am already very grateful for the patience in reading my cry for help! If necessary I could even try to write in German.

It looks like the power switch is mounted on a sub panel and can be unbolted with a little spanner or pliers. The button likely can be pushed off from behind. No need to take off front panel. Possibly
