telefunken: T4347GWK (T 4347GWK);

Hallo

I just bought a Telefunken T4347GWK on ebay. Sadly it has been "verbastelt"!

I wonder if someone can provide some pics of the inside. My seems to be missing the mains autotrafo.

Braucht man, eigentlich, ein Autotrafo mit 220V ?

Dear Peter,

my radio is fixed wired for 220 V (AC or DC), there is no "Autotrafo" in the cabinet. I think the trafo was an additional option for 110 and 125 V AC to raise the anode voltage for the tubes.

Some years ago I tried to dismantle the cabinet, but I did not know how to do that.... Because in my radio the VEL11 is missing, I made no further attempts for repairing the appliance.

Yes, I see you are right.  The auto transformer is not necessary for 220V

(Actually in Australia we have 240 volts!).  I was able to get my cabinet apart OK. It has a VEL11, but I don't know if it's good. It seems a hrd tube to find.
