For a few days now, every member has the opportunity to put questions with regard to tubes / valves* to our editors and also to respond to their reaction.

Naturally, it is also possible, even encouraged, that members post technical articles on tubes  -  e.g. development of specific types, various versions, etc.  -  all with  due reference to source and chronological detail. At that, you are free to integrate pictures into your text and/or include them as an attachment  -  the same way you do it now with articles on models and manufacturers. It is important that they, the pictures and attachments, relate to the respective tube type.

For the time being, please channel your articles on not yet listed tubes through one of the "Administrator Tubes". This, at this time, is in contrast to your contributions with respect to models and manufacturers, where you can introduce new items and/or modify existing texts.

You may know that for some months now it is possible to re-edit the "official copy" for models and manufacturers. Already, quite a number of members availed themselve to this opportunity. The same feature is intended for tubes as soon as the basic framework is erected. At the current stage, we limit ourselves to the uploading of data sheets, operating characteristics, etc. Please participate in this, because only then will we have the basics compiled within an acceptable time.

Not yet available is the possibility to have a personal tube collection index as we provide it for every model. I am working towards that, as well as towards creating the possibility to record price and supply source for any given tube.

*although both terms are correct, for the purpose of simplification, "tube/valve" in the above text has been replaced with the worldwide more common term "tube".

My thanks to Alfred Zeeb for the Translation.
