  • This tube radio exists at least in two versions: This one with rounded edges and another one with square edges (1958). See an article from ZTL here about it - and some transistor sets with the same number designation,上海 451. There is most probably a separate power unit to put underneath the set for line power - as shows model Shanghai 452.

    For this earlier version of the Shanghai 451 there is only this reference in manual 1958-1-1 STPH (internal no. 9) and there it is listed as made by "Shanghai Broadcast Equipment Factory" and the Shanghai 451 with square edges is listed in manual internal nr. 10. But an other source puts it to "Shanghai Wireless Factory". If that is not the follower of SBEF we will have to change a couple of entries to SBEF, atarting with model Shanghai 131.
