  • Notes
  • This Adams Morgan Paragon Crystal Set is a possible "fake" reproduction radio. Several collectors in the past were either building new sets from parts or engraving company names on the front panels of homebrew sets to "enhance" the value.

This set appears to be one of them. The crystal detector used on this set is a Kilbourne & Clark detector from the early 1920s. Adams Morgan would not have used a K&C detector on one of their sets. The engraving is also poorly done with the AMCO not even in a straight line. Another example of a "fake" Adams Morgan set can be found here. Notice it also uses a K&C detector.
