    A combined electric light and radio antenna,
    probably a main power aerial,
    the base, top and side rails are made of a painted aluminum, cylindrical shade is made of an amber celluloid which shows female "nymph's" in black silhouette.

    The antenna circiut is coupled with a 130 pf  silver mica capacitor to the house wiring via the power cord..

    The light bulb is a frosted  45 watt A15 appliance bulb.
