The New Knight Metal Tube "Ocean Hopper" is shown in the 1939 Allied catalog. A 1938 catalog description shows a very similar set but that was named the DX-er. This is the first "Ocean Hopper" to be offered with that name in Allied catalogs. Accessories offered were coil kit E9845 with four coils covering 16 to 195 meters, AC power supply kit E9846, and 3 watt utility amplifier and power supply kit E9847.
