AWA portable transistor radio adapted by the manufacturer for AC mains power.
The layout of chassis is modular with a separate RF/IF circuit board and a seperate audio circuit mounted on a mother board. There is a single wave rectifier suppling 10 volts DC from the AC mains via a small transformer.
The Carnaby 7 B59 uses the same modules.
