  • AWA’s first transistor radio was the Radiola Transistor 7 (897P) designed by Graham Moore. It was released in November 1957 selling for 44 Guineas. It was virtually identical in appearance to the AWA 581PZ tube portable and followed conventional tube receiver construction methods.
