This two valve radio and the optional two valve amplifier is the first Radiola model made by AWA.
There was a comprehensive three month newspaper advertising campaign prior to the release of this radio in December 1923.
An article in The Sun newspaper, 27 November 1923, page 8 announced the coming of this radio at a price of AUS £37/3/6 complete with batteries, headphones and aerial wire.
If your receiver was located more than 20 miles from the transmitter than one would have to purchase the loud speaker 2 valve amplifier for an additional AUS £12/-.
