This is probably a military version (M2/U type) of the better known D4T. This model is one of the microphones that are nicknamed the "Salt Shaker". It was introduced around 1939, its frequency range is given as 60-7500 Hz. The D4T (without a Transformer) had an impedance of 30 Ohm. The single contact models have a high impedance (38000 Ohm), the models with 200 or 500 Ohm had a balanced line output connector.
