  • Amrad adopted the reflex circuit in 1922 using one tube to amplify at both RF and AF simultaneously. Design began in June 1922 and by August a new 1-tube receiver was ready for production. It was introduced mid-October, 1922 as the Type 3366 Reflex Receiver for $40.00. For a detector it used a plug-in holder on the front panel. It's catwhisker was held against the crystal by a small permanent magnet. The 3366 was reasonably popular and remained in the Amrad product line for the 1922-1923 season.
