-
The Astron RS-35A is rated at 25 amps continuous and 35 amps intermittent at a 50% duty cycle. Voltage output is regulated at 13.8 VDC. The heart of this power supply, like all Astron linear power supplies, is the little LM-723 regulator chip which is socketed in the Astrons, allowing easy replacement. An SCR is used in a crowbar circuit, triggered by a 2N3906, 5.6 V Zener and resistor divider, in the event of over-voltage. The fuse is 8 amps (type 3AG).
