  • Notes
  • The Atwater Kent 4340 Model 10 was introduced shortly after the introduction of the Atwater Kent 4340 Radiodyne breadboard. This variation still had all of the brass binding posts on the RF coils, tube islands and condensers but had one small variation only evidenced by the labels on the RF coils. The first 4340 models, the 4340 Radiodyne sets, had a brass label on the RF coils that identified the radio as a "Radiodyne Transformer". This Radiodyne name was quickly changed to Model 10 and subsequent 4340's had only "Model 10 Transformer" on the RF transformer. This abrupt name change was likely caused by the fact that Western Coil & Electric Co. was already selling a radio with the "Radiodyne" name.
