- Notes
- The 55 (common name) is a widely used model. It was offered as a panel(chassis) to fit a chosen console made by Red Lion, Bay View Furniture, Pooley etc., and as a low profile metal case table model.
Both were available for 110-120 Volt 60 cycle AC mains and for 110-120 Volt 25 cycle AC mains supply.
According to Atwater Kent Catalogue 1929 the denomination was as follows:
55C = panel model, 60 cycles
55 = table model, 60 cycles
55FC= panel model, 25 cycles
55F = table model, 25 cycles
Unfortunately such denomination is not followed in secondary literature. You may find any (incorrect) combination. Be careful to get the correct model if You want to attach pics. There are ambiguities for which we are not responsible. We tried to make the best out of the situation.
Do NOT upload photos or add information here! Select the applicable model first. Thank You.
