An unusual output stage is used in the Burndept Model 259, in which 5 watts is obtained from a multi-electrode valve of the electron-coupled type.
The circuit arrangement of this superheterodyne is an ambitious one, including a signal frequency stage, a triode-hexode frequency- changer, and a special pentode for intermediate audio-frequency amplification.
