  • The R50 Monitor Loudspeaker features the KEF B139, low frequency driver, active from approximately 30 to 400 Hz and  is loaded with a 2 Metre, long haired lambs-wool damped, tapered labyrinth. Above it, the KEF B110 mid-range driver, active from 400 Hz to 3 kHz mounted in a physically separate damped tapered pipe, to avoid intermodulation distortion. Next a KEF T27,  medium frequency unit with pressure driven dome diaphragm ensuring wide dispersion of frequencies from 3 to 10 kHz. Finally, a STC 4001G1, high frequency unit as above to carry the response from 10 kHz to beyond 20 kHz.
