    Cabinet:

    The Capehart model series 400 with Chippendale cabinet were made in five cabinet versions: The first models were called Chippendale 400 for 1931/32, followed by 400A (1932/33) and 400B (1933/34).
    Model Chippendale 405 followed as Chippendale 405C in 1934/35, 405D, 405E, 405F and 405G (1938/39).
    Then it changed style again and got model number Chippendale 410G, 410H, 410K and 410M.
    After the war Chippendale 413N followed with a parallel Chippendale 414N, both for 1946-1948), followed by Chippendale 413P and 414P for 1948/49 as the last production.
    Chassis:
    Tuner 8 tubes, Rider's 10-13 schematic W-947 (Oct. 18, 1938): 6K7 RF,  6J5 osc, 6L7 mixer, 2 x 6K7 IF, 6G5 magic eye, 6H6 2nd det, 6J5 AVC. 3-gang tuning condenser. 1983 GEC is for 25 cycles mains and 1982 GEC for 60 cycles mains. 8 plus 4 push buttons. Extended or remote control possible. Linear sensivity control for RF tube. Three volume controls: volume, bass and treble with two volume indicators and Radio/Phono indicator (lamps). 4 dial lights.
    Bass amp. 11 tubes, Rider's 10-14 schematic W-949: 6N7, 3 x 6C5G, 6F6G, 4 x 6V6G, 2 x 5Z3. 3 x 8 ohm outputs, power choke 1829. 60 cycle is part 1547, 25 cycles part 1548. Treble amp. 4 tubes, Rider's 10-15 schematic W 948: 6F6G, 2 x 6V6G, 5Z3. Power choke 1829. 3 x 8 ohms output. Two loudspeakers: 14" and 12". Motor driven volume control for remote speakers.
    Capehart Play Control  which allows to play a predetermined number of selections  and have an automatic stop after that.
