  • Carver TX-11 Asymmetrical Charge Coupled FM Detector:
A significant design/performance advance at the time, primarily due to use of a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) as a detector. Products uses a mix of integrated circuits and transistors. Direct Phase Locked Loop IF oscillator/mixer/detector. Digitally synthesized oscillator (tuning) with preset buttons. The design set new record for adjacent channel and spurious signal reduction. Special design feature significantly reduced multi-path signal distortion. FM broadcast band only (no AM broadcast or shortwave bands).
